Job Overview

A leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana is seeking a proactive Internal Audit Assistant to support the Internal Audit Manager in enhancing internal control systems. This role involves ensuring adherence to policies, rules, and procedures to safeguard the company’s assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits in areas such as inventory and revenue, following the Audit Work Plan and industry best practices.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of accounting records and the timely preparation of financial information.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the control environment, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Review and assess systems and controls within business units, suggesting necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to implement approved audit recommendations.
  • Perform special audits on projects and other ad-hoc audits as needed.
  • Prepare quarterly status reports on previous audit findings.
  • Deliver professionally written audit reports with value-added recommendations promptly after audits.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A first degree in Accounting or related fields.
  • Student Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) or ACCA.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a similar or related role.
