Mantrac Ghana is looking for a seasoned Facilities Manager to take charge of its diverse facility portfolio across the country. Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Manager

As the Facilities Manager, your role will cover several high-impact areas:

  • Facility Maintenance & Operations: Oversee daily repairs, maintenance, and cleaning activities across all sites.

  • Capital Projects & Renovations: Plan and execute renovations or new constructions to modernise facilities.

  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance: Enforce safety standards and environmental compliance, including ISO/OSHA regulations.

  • Asset Management: Track, assess and manage company-owned physical assets.

  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Liaise and negotiate with service providers to ensure quality and value.

  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Plan and monitor facility budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

  • Sustainability & Energy Efficiency: Implement green initiatives to reduce environmental impact.

  • Strategic Planning & Reporting: Align facility strategy with the company’s operational goals.

  • Security & Risk Management: Mitigate risks and ensure workplace security.


Required Skills & Competencies

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Strong technical understanding of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).

  • Excellent project management and financial forecasting skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Facility Management software.

  • Capability to communicate technical information clearly.

  • Solid procurement and negotiation experience.


Physical Requirements of the Role

  • Regular use of a computer for extended periods.

  • Occasional lifting (up to 40 pounds) may be required.

  • Walking or standing for inspections or site tours.

  • Climbing ladders to access or inspect facilities.


Qualifications and Experience Needed

  • A Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, building services, or a related discipline.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in facilities or operations management.

  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Familiarity with Ghanaian building codes, safety regulations, and ISO/OSHA standards.

  • Previous experience in industrial or technical service environments such as warehouses or workshops is a plus.
