Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Data Processing Officer to manage and maintain our digital and physical data records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transferring data from hard copy to a digital database, updating customer information, and ensuring data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database.
- Update customer information in the database.
- Organize and manage data in spreadsheets.
- Verify outdated data and update records as necessary.
- Operate common office equipment like scanners and printers.
- Search for and investigate information contained in files.
- Perform regular database backups to secure data.
- Input text-based and numerical information from source documents.
- Provide occasional administrative support.
- Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors.
- Create spreadsheets to track important customer information and orders.
Qualifications and Experience
- HND or degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a data entry operator or in a similar role.
- Excellent typing skills.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to manage and process high volumes of data accurately.
- Good understanding of databases and filing systems.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical operations.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
