MeridianMax Industries is searching for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Officer to join our team in Accra! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy keeping things running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcome incoming deliveries, check their contents against orders, and log everything in our inventory system.
- Be a detective! Inspect new arrivals for damage, missing items, or defects. Report any issues and work with suppliers to find solutions.
- Take regular inventory counts to ensure our records are accurate. Spot discrepancies and reconcile them between physical stock and our system data.
- Get ready to pack and ship! You’ll label, tag, and categorize items for storage or dispatch, keeping everything organized and easy to find.
- Optimize warehouse space! You’ll help arrange shelves, racks, and storage areas to make the most of our space and ensure smooth workflows.
- Assemble and prepare orders for shipment, picking items efficiently and accurately to meet deadlines.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks (safety training provided!).
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. Think sweeping floors, removing clutter, and disposing of waste responsibly.
- Keep an eye on stock levels and alert the Warehouse Manager when things are running low or getting too full.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A detail-oriented individual who can handle inventory counts, data entry, and recordkeeping with precision.
- Someone with basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software, barcode scanners, and Microsoft Office applications.
- A team player with excellent communication skills, able to follow instructions and collaborate effectively.
- A flexible and adaptable person who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities independently.
- Someone who prioritizes safety and takes pride in keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and following all safety protocols.
- Minimum qualification: HND
