Admissions Now Open to Ghanaian and International Applicants for the 2025/2026 Academic Year
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), one of Ghana’s premier tertiary institutions, has officially opened its admissions portal for the 2025/2026 academic year. Both local and international applicants interested in pursuing undergraduate degrees across diverse disciplines including engineering, social sciences, natural resources, and humanities are encouraged to apply.
Who Is Eligible to Apply for KNUST 2025/2026 Admission?
KNUST’s admission is open to multiple applicant categories:
1. WASSCE/SSSCE Holders

Credit passes (A1–C6 for WASSCE / A–D for SSSCE) in English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science

Good passes in three elective subjects

Overall aggregate score must be 24 or better
2. GBCE/ABCE Holders

Credit passes in six GBCE subjects including English and Business Mathematics

Credit passes in three compulsory and three optional ABCE subjects
3. GCE Advanced Level Holders

Minimum of five O-Level credit passes (including English and Maths)

Good passes in three relevant A-Level subjects
4. Mature Applicants (Aged 25 and Above)

Must provide a valid birth certificate at least 5 years old

Should meet WASSCE/SSSCE or GCE requirements

HND holders need three years’ work experience
5. International Applicants
