Overview
A leading company is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee field operations, manage technical aspects of roadside equipment and software, and supervise technical staff. This role reports directly to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Build and Manage a Technical Team: Create an efficient technical department to ensure optimal uptime for roadside equipment.
- Coordinate Installations and Maintenance: Work with local authorities and installation companies for setting up and maintaining equipment.
- Ensure Compliance: Verify that all technical devices have valid (GSA) approvals and calibration certificates.
- Conduct Training: Organize toolbox meetings and provide training for field service engineers.
- Handle Support Requests: Efficiently manage support tickets and collaborate with international technical teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and Implement Procedures: Create procedures with QA support and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar technical role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Linux, Windows, TCP/IP networks (DNS, VPN, firewalls), and basic electrical wiring diagrams.
- Specialization: Experience with roadside equipment such as CCTV cameras and traffic controllers is a plus.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting, analytical abilities, and a hands-on approach. Ability to work under pressure, motivate teams, and work independently.
