We are non-political, voluntary, charitable, and non-sectarian, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds. FAWE Ghana seeks a results-oriented Programme Manager to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview
The Programme Manager (PM) will play a critical role in ensuring that girls and young women in Ghana have access to quality education and training opportunities. Reporting to the National Coordinator, the PM will coordinate and support program implementation, particularly the Mastercard Foundation partnership aimed at helping marginalized youth access tertiary education in TVET and universities. The PM will provide leadership and technical input for FAWE Ghana’s programs as outlined in the FAWE Strategic Plan (2024–2028) and will focus on an education and skills training program over a seven-year period.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and programmatic leadership for education, skills training, and research programs.
- Oversee and coordinate program implementation, strategy development, and execution of decisions.
- Ensure deliverables are met within timelines and budget guidelines, and submit periodic reports.
- Monitor quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in project implementation.
- Promote learning and integration with other FAWE Ghana programs, emphasizing social inclusion and digital skills.
- Support advocacy efforts to expand opportunities for girls and young women.
- Provide technical input for developing and negotiating funding proposals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in social sciences (Education, Public Health, Political Science, Philosophy, Gender, Law, Sociology, Project Management, or related fields).
- At least 10 years of work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in complex NGOs or international environments.
- Competency in French and at least one Ghanaian language is an added advantage.
- Experience in strategic partnerships and working within consortia involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong program management skills, including Theory of Change methodology, process management, project control, documentation development, risk management, and monitoring and evaluation.
