Your Impact in the Supervisor, Fabrication & Welding Role

As a Fabrication & Welding Supervisor, you will oversee all fabrication and welding activities to ensure quality workmanship and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor fabrication and welding tasks to ensure quality standards

  • Enforce safety procedures and protocols

  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance

  • Collect and report data on fabrication and welding work

  • Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations

  • Schedule and complete fabrication projects on time

  • Mentor new employees on welding and fabrication practices

  • Inspect work areas regularly

  • Identify risks, apply mitigation strategies, and monitor continuously


Required Qualifications and Experience

Formal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, trade qualification, or equivalent experience

  • Mincom-certified Sectional Engineer

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial or mining welding and fabrication

  • At least 2 years’ supervisory experience, preferably within a mining environment

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong project management and risk mitigation skills

  • Ability to lead, train, and develop teams

  • Solid understanding of KPIs, safety regulations, sustainability principles

  • Practical experience in project delivery, tracking, and cost management

  • Effective conflict resolution and stakeholder communication skills
