Your Impact in the Supervisor, Fabrication & Welding Role
As a Fabrication & Welding Supervisor, you will oversee all fabrication and welding activities to ensure quality workmanship and strict adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor fabrication and welding tasks to ensure quality standards

Enforce safety procedures and protocols
-
Conduct routine equipment maintenance
-
Collect and report data on fabrication and welding work
-
Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution
-
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
-
Schedule and complete fabrication projects on time
-
Mentor new employees on welding and fabrication practices
-
Inspect work areas regularly
-
Identify risks, apply mitigation strategies, and monitor continuously
Required Qualifications and Experience
Formal Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, trade qualification, or equivalent experience
-
Mincom-certified Sectional Engineer
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial or mining welding and fabrication
-
At least 2 years’ supervisory experience, preferably within a mining environment
Additional Knowledge & Skills
-
Strong project management and risk mitigation skills
-
Ability to lead, train, and develop teams
-
Solid understanding of KPIs, safety regulations, sustainability principles

Practical experience in project delivery, tracking, and cost management
-
Effective conflict resolution and stakeholder communication skills
