Key Responsibilities of the Head of Credit

Evaluate and recommend credit proposals to the CEO and Board per internal policies and laws

Monitor all credit facilities and report early warning signals

Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly regulatory and prudential returns

Carry out other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Experience Needed
To be considered for the Head of Credit role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A Master’s Degree in a business-related field from a recognised tertiary institution

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Head of Credit role

Knowledge and working experience with T24 Core Banking Application

Familiarity with relevant laws such as:

Borrowers and Lenders Act, 2020 (Act 1052)

Credit Reporting Act, 2007 (Act 726)

Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930)
