Ecobank Ghana is inviting applications for the position of Group Manager, Diaspora Banking, a key strategic leadership role based in Accra.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, driving, and overseeing Ecobank’s Diaspora Banking strategy across its pan-African network. This position is ideal for an experienced banking professional with a strong understanding of cross-border financial services, remittances, and diaspora engagement.
Job Purpose
The Group Manager, Diaspora Banking will lead Ecobank’s efforts to connect Africans abroad with innovative financial solutions across the continent. The role involves designing and executing strategies that enhance customer experience, expand remittance and investment flows, and strengthen Ecobank’s position as the preferred bank for the African Diaspora.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business and Financial Performance

Develop and implement the Group Diaspora Banking strategy and growth plans.

Drive profitability and expansion across all affiliates.

Track key performance metrics such as deposits, remittances, and customer acquisition.

Broaden product offerings — including remittances, diaspora mortgages, investments, and digital accounts.

Foster partnerships with global community organizations, consulates, and fintechs.
2. Customer Excellence

Create tailored value propositions for diverse diaspora communities.

Standardize service quality across markets.

Simplify onboarding for cross-border customers.
-
Monitor feedback and ensure continuous improvement.
3. Leadership and Team Development

Provide direction and mentorship to regional diaspora heads.

Build strong, performance-driven teams across multiple countries.

Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
4. Process and Operational Performance

Strengthen KYC/AML and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Work with Digital Banking and IT to enhance operational efficiency.

Document and maintain process standards (SOPs, SLAs, etc.).
5. Strategic Initiatives

Lead corridor expansion between Africa and major diaspora hubs.

Promote diaspora-targeted digital platforms and marketing campaigns.

Pilot innovative diaspora-linked products (e.g., investment and educational financing solutions).

Qualification Required & Experience
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.

Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
Experience:

8–12 years’ experience in Retail/Commercial Banking, Remittances, International Banking, or Wealth Management.

Proven experience with diaspora customers and cross-border payment ecosystems.

Leadership experience in multi-country environments.
-
Bilingual proficiency (English/French) required; additional languages are a plus.
