Job Vacancy for Transport Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

The Transport Coordinator will ensure the company’s fleet is roadworthy and manage the scheduling of vehicles for various tasks, including assignments, maintenance, and repairs. This role involves optimizing driver-route assignments for timely deliveries and acting as a liaison between the company and vehicle service providers. Managing the vehicle maintenance program and workshop is crucial, ensuring sufficient vehicles are available to meet demand and controlling parts stock. Maintaining comprehensive records of all vehicles from acquisition to decommissioning and preparing regular reports is essential. The coordinator must keep vehicle operating costs within budget and develop duty rosters for drivers.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess at least an HND in Transport Management or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience managing a large fleet. A valid driving license (D1, D2, D3) is also required.
