Key Responsibilities of the Role
As a Senior SOC Analyst at Ecobank, you will:

Supervise and mentor L1 analysts in threat monitoring and incident response.

Monitor and analyse all security incidents detected by SIEM tools.

Actively hunt for potential indicators of compromise across the network.

Drive execution of daily, weekly, and monthly cybersecurity metrics.

Perform complex investigations into high-severity security threats.

Support integration of new security technologies into SIEM systems.

Conduct health checks of SIEM components and report on vulnerabilities.

Provide Tier-2 support for security infrastructure, including endpoint antivirus, vulnerability management, and access controls.

Generate detailed security status and compliance reports.

Participate in threat hunting and analysis using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain.
Qualification & Experience Required
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience: Minimum 5 years in IT and/or Cybersecurity; at least 2 years in system monitoring and 1 year with packet capture tools.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of intrusion detection, TCP/IP, DNS, SIEM, firewalls, and endpoint security.

Frameworks: Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS.

Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CISA required. Additional certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, GCIH, CHFI) are a plus.
