Mepe Area Rural Bank, located in the Volta Region, is seeking to engage an external auditor to audit its financial statements and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Objectives
The chosen firm will be responsible for auditing the bank’s financial statements annually and issuing a report in compliance with all statutory requirements. The firm must meet the qualifications under Section 138 of the Company Act 2019 (Act 992) and be recognized as a licensed audit firm in Ghana per the Institute of Chartered Accountants Act 2020 (Act 1058). The firm must also maintain good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, throughout the recruitment process.
Additionally, the firm must have at least ten years of experience in audit practice and have audited a similar bank for a minimum of five years. It should have a sufficient number of qualified staff to undertake the audit assignments at any time. The engagement partner must possess the requisite professional qualifications, have at least ten years of continuous experience handling audit assignments, and be a person of high integrity.
Qualification and Experience
The proposal from the firm should include the following:
- Curriculum Vitae (CVs): Detailed CVs of key personnel involved in the audit exercise, specifying their roles.
- Evidence of Similar Assignments: Documentation of similar assignments conducted within the last two years, including references.
- Technical and Financial Proposal: A detailed methodology, work schedules, and verifiable means of quality assurance.
- Current Tax and SSNIT Clearance Certificates
