Purpose of Position

This role, reporting to the Sales Executive of Ghana, is focused on maximizing sales of construction equipment to meet market share, unit sales, and revenue targets. Responsibilities include managing key construction customer accounts, developing targeted programs to boost specific model sales, and crafting strategies for key customer segments.

Key Results Areas

Operational Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Sales Strategy: Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies, programs, and cost-control measures to achieve profitability targets. Aim to increase deal participation rates and the number of active customers in the construction sector.
  • Customer Relationships: Build strong customer relationships and trust to enhance the company’s market position. Work with the Sales Executive to assess competitive pricing situations, develop sales strategies, and leverage marketing programs in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, trade activities, and competitor actions to inform future planning and strategy adjustments. Focus on growing market share in construction equipment.
  • Deal Tracker: Follow up meticulously on all pending deals from initial quotes to final delivery and invoicing to ensure smooth transactions.
  • CRM Management: Ensure the CRM tool is properly maintained, updated, and utilized to develop sales leads and opportunities.
  • Sales Procedure Compliance: Adhere to sales procedures and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness before transferring ownership.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Address customer complaints promptly and ensure resolutions to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Account Management

Develop and maintain trusted relationships with customers, OEMs, and other relevant stakeholders. Cultivate new sales leads and enhance existing account sales through effective relationship management and negotiation skills.

Capability Requirements

  • Minimum qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Sales.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Strong ability to develop trusted relationships with customers, OEMs, and stakeholders.
  • Well-honed negotiation skills.
  • Ability to drive and possession of a valid driving license.
