Abanga Group is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead its finance and accounting team.
Responsibilities
The CFO will be responsible for aligning financial planning and strategy with the overall business planning and the Group’s long-term strategy. This includes managing multi-year budgets, trend analysis, and scenario modeling. The CFO will provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team, and offer strategic recommendations to the Group CEO and executive management team.
Key responsibilities include managing financial forecasting and budgeting processes, overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting, and advising on long-term business and financial planning. The CFO will also provide commercial insight and leadership to help the business exceed its targets, ensuring that the risk and compliance management framework is both embedded and operational within the group. Additionally, the CFO will establish and develop relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders, and review all formal finance, HR, and IT-related procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
This senior role requires a high level of experience and professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is expected, and an MBA is highly desirable. Candidates should have at least ten years of experience in the finance industry, with proven leadership and management experience. They must demonstrate excellence in the workplace, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have the executive presence to work with senior management and engage with staff at all levels of the organization.
