Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Accounts Officer will assist in regulatory reporting, maintaining accounts, and delivering financial information including general ledger, sub-ledgers, trial balances, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, as well as providing annex information required for financial analysis.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform reconciliations to ensure account accuracy and completeness.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closures and financial statement preparation.
- Assist in budget monitoring and follow-up.
- Compile, accrue, and process supplier invoice payments in appropriate ledgers.
- Prepare reports for internal and external users.
- Provide requisite information to internal and external auditors.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized institution.
- Part II qualified professional accountant from reputable institutions (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience in reconciliations.
- Understanding of the microfinance sector is an advantage.
