The West African Rescue Association is seeking a Training Academy Supervisor to join our team. This role involves overseeing the delivery and management of first aid training programs to ensure participants are skilled and certified according to the latest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Course Delivery: Conduct first aid training sessions, ensuring participants understand and can apply the skills taught effectively.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in developing and updating first aid training materials in line with the latest guidelines and best practices.
- Participant Assessment: Evaluate participants through practical and written assessments, providing feedback to ensure competency.
- Certification: Administer and process certifications for participants who successfully complete training programs.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and manage training equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition for all sessions.
- Compliance: Ensure all training sessions adhere to national and international first aid standards and regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and certification status.
- Promotion and Outreach: Promote first aid training programs and participate in outreach activities to engage the community and potential clients.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest first aid techniques and industry developments to enhance training programs.
- Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the training program’s effectiveness, success, and ROI periodically.
- Budget Management: Manage the training budget efficiently.
- Reporting: Provide a monthly management report detailing training statistics, feedback, and program outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Current certification as a First Aid Instructor from a recognized organization.
- Business-oriented, goal-driven, and self-motivated.
- Excellent presentation skills for effective training delivery.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple training sessions.
- Proficiency in performing and teaching first aid techniques.
- Good leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
- IT proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Medical background is advantageous.
