About the Organization
Plan International is a prominent independent development and humanitarian organization focused on promoting children’s rights and gender equality, particularly for girls. We recognize the potential of every child and aim to address issues such as poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination, which disproportionately affect girls. Collaborating with children, youth, supporters, and partners, we strive for a just world by tackling the root causes of challenges faced by girls and vulnerable children. Our efforts span from birth to adulthood, helping children respond to crises and advocating for policy changes at local, national, and global levels. With over 85 years of experience, we have transformed the lives of children in more than 80 countries and continue our mission to achieve equality.
