Job Summary
We are seeking a Manager for MFS Commercial Projects to join our Mobile Financial Services (MFS) Department. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Mobile Financial Services and will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing all MFS technical and commercial projects to ensure targets for subscribers and revenue are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial projects, develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, ensuring milestones and budget targets are met.
- Establish and manage programs/projects for all commercial and technical activities within MFS.
- Lead cross-functional team development and ensure timely execution of key milestones.
- Identify critical path items, anticipate needs and risks, and drive project completion.
- Monitor, track, and report on the performance of assigned initiatives/projects.
- Foster strong teamwork partnerships across the organization.
- Develop and execute processes and procedures to streamline operations and communications.
- Maintain strong service-oriented relationships with partners and internal technical teams.
- Ensure compliance with established guidelines and timely reporting to regulators and partners.
- Develop metrics and processes to ensure successful execution of MFS programs.
- Ensure banks maintain a 99.9% service availability to customers and implement corrective measures for non-compliance.
- Liaise between the commercial team, technical team, and platform vendor to finalize requirements for configurations.
- Manage all pre-implementation and post-implementation testing and roll-out of new products.
- Support Finance/Tech teams in discussions with finance partners, such as Ghipss.
KPIs
- Successful implementation of commercial and technical projects.
- Performance monitoring of initiatives.
- Management of technical partners (Aggregators, Comviva, GHIPSS, and integrated banks).
Qualifications and Experience
Academic Qualifications
- University degree in marketing, finance, accounting, or related discipline.
- Proficiency with IT software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Clear and concise communication skills in English.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate sales or corporate finance.
- Experience in project management.
