Job Opportunity: Internal Audit Assistant

A leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana is seeking an Internal Audit Assistant to join their team. This role involves supporting the Internal Audit Manager in enhancing the company’s internal control systems and ensuring compliance with policies, rules, and procedures to protect the company’s assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits in assigned areas, including inventory and revenue audits, following the Audit Work Plan and adhering to industry best practices and professional standards.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of accounting records and the timely preparation of financial reports.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the control environment, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
  • Review and recommend changes to business unit systems and controls.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to implement approved audit recommendations.
  • Perform special audits on projects and other ad-hoc audits as needed.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on the status of previous audit findings.
  • Deliver professionally written audit reports with value-added recommendations promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields.
  • Student Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), or ACCA.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a similar or related role.
