Job Opportunity: Internal Audit Assistant

A leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana is seeking an Internal Audit Assistant to support the Internal Audit Manager. The role focuses on enhancing internal control systems and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures to protect the company’s assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits in areas such as inventory and revenue according to the Audit Work Plan and industry standards.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of accounting records and facilitate timely preparation of financial information.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the control environment, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
  • Review and recommend changes in the systems and controls of business units.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to implement approved audit recommendations.
  • Perform special and ad-hoc audits as needed.
  • Prepare quarterly status reports on past audit findings.
  • Deliver professionally written audit reports with value-added recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A first degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Student membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants – Ghana (ICAG) or ACCA.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a similar or related role.
