The High Commission of Canada in Ghana is seeking a qualified Gender Equality Specialist to join their team in Accra.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree or higher from a recognized university in relevant fields such as international development, agriculture, agribusiness, gender studies, or related disciplines like agricultural economics, development studies, or sociology.
- A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in development work is essential, with at least 5 years focused on providing advisory services related to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Additional Expertise and Skills
- Candidates should have proven experience in delivering advisory services on gender equality issues, preferably within bilateral or multilateral institutions.
- A solid understanding of gender equality challenges within Ghana’s agricultural sector, including decentralized governance structures, is required.
- Excellent English writing skills are necessary for this role.
