Asokore Rural Bank PLC is currently seeking applications from qualified Ghanaian audit firms for the role of External Auditor.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a thorough audit of the bank’s operations, assess the adequacy of internal control systems, and provide professional guidance as needed.
- Conduct audits in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992), and the Banking and Specialized Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
- Prepare and present the annual financial report to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- Advise the board on potential weaknesses in the financial statements to ensure they are free from material misstatements.
- Provide additional advisory services as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as an External Auditor.
- Proven expertise in auditing within the rural banking sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of external auditing practices, relevant regulations, and accounting standards, with a strong understanding of IFRS.
- A valid license under the Institute of Chartered Accountants Act 2020 (Act 1058).
