Job Opening: Public Financial Management (PFM) Specialist at the Canadian High Commission in Ghana

The High Commission of Canada in Ghana is looking for a qualified Public Financial Management (PFM) Specialist to join its team. This role requires expertise in economics, finance, public administration, or accounting, along with significant experience in public financial management.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in economics, finance, public administration, or accounting from a recognized institution. Additionally, a professional qualification as an economist or certified chartered accountant is essential.

Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in public financial management, with at least 5 years focused on public financial management policy and/or program delivery, ideally within bilateral or multilateral development institutions.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Ghana.
  • Proven experience in working with government entities or donors on public financial management, including project planning, budgeting, and monitoring.
  • Strong English writing skills are required for the role.

Location

The position is based in Accra.
