The High Commission of Canada in Ghana is seeking a qualified Gender Equality Specialist. Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree or higher in fields such as international development, agriculture, agribusiness, gender studies, or related areas like agricultural economics, development studies, or sociology. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of practical experience in development work, including at least 5 years dedicated to gender equality and women’s empowerment advisory services.
Applicants should also demonstrate expertise in providing advisory services on gender equality within program delivery, particularly for bilateral or multilateral institutions. A strong understanding of gender equality issues in Ghana’s agriculture sector and decentralized governance structures is essential. Proficiency in English writing is required.
