About the Company
A prominent pharmaceutical company in Ghana is seeking a proactive Internal Audit Assistant to support the Internal Audit Manager. This role focuses on enhancing internal control systems and ensuring adherence to policies, rules, and procedures to safeguard the company’s assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits in designated areas, including inventory and revenue audits, according to the Audit Work Plan, industry best practices, and professional standards.
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of accounting records and the timely preparation of financial information.
- Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the control environment, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Review, evaluate, and suggest changes to systems and controls within business units.
- Collaborate with departmental staff to ensure the implementation of approved audit recommendations.
- Perform special audits on projects and other ad-hoc audits as required.
- Prepare quarterly status reports on previous audit findings.
- Deliver professionally written audit reports with value-added recommendations promptly.
Qualifications and Experience
- A first degree in Accounting or related fields.
- Student membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) or ACCA.
- At least four years of experience in a similar or related role.
