As part of its engineering department, the Electrical Supervisor will report to the Electrical Superintendent – Underground and will oversee underground electrical maintenance and installations. This role plays a key part in enhancing power availability and operational reliability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure underground electrical equipment is installed and maintained to standard.

Comply with the Safety Management Plan and conduct regular hazard inspections.

Oversee installation and maintenance of substations, pumps, jumbos, fans, and conveyor systems.

Lead electrical fault diagnostics and suggest system improvements.

Use SAP to generate and track maintenance work requests.

Supervise underground teams and ensure all tasks meet safety and quality standards.

Participate in root cause analyses and implement improvement strategies.

Monitor performance metrics and generate reports for management.
Qualifications and Required Experience
Candidates must have one of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Technology with minimum 3 years relevant experience.

Diploma in the same field with minimum 5 years relevant experience.

Electrical Technician Part III Certificate with 5 years of practical experience.
Certifications and Competency Expectations

Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) Licence.

Preferred: Inspecting Engineer Certificate of Competence from the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission (IDMC).

Strong leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated understanding of electrical safety, plant maintenance, and underground systems.
