Blossom Academy Launches Code4FoodSecurity Fellowship 2026 in Partnership with WFP and Koica Ghana

Blossom Academy, in collaboration with theWorld Food Programme (WFP) andKoica Ghana, has announced the launch of a new fully sponsored fellowship calledCode4FoodSecurity. This five-month intensive program is designed to train70 passionate young professionals inArtificial Intelligence (AI) andMachine Learning (ML), with a focus on transformingfood systems andagricultural innovation in Ghana.


About the Code4FoodSecurity Program

The Code4FoodSecurity Fellowship aims to build a generation of tech-driven changemakers who can tackle food security challenges through data and technology. The initiative encourages participation from individuals of diverse backgrounds, particularly women and persons with disabilities, to ensure inclusive access to digital and technical education.

By the end of the program, participants will have gained hands-on experience applying AI and ML solutions to real-world agricultural problems, contributing to a more sustainable and food-secure future for Ghana and Africa at large.


Program Details

📅 Duration: January – May 2026 (5 months)
🖥️ Mode of Learning:

  • Virtual Classes: Mondays to Wednesdays

  • In-Person Sessions: Thursdays (Accra)

This flexible learning structure allows fellows to balance training with other commitments while benefiting from both digital instruction and face-to-face collaboration.


Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the Code4FoodSecurity Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35

  • Reside in Accra, Ghana

  • Own a working laptop

  • Be able to commit to the full program schedule

The program is ideal for individuals with a passion for technology, agriculture, and innovation who are eager to contribute to the development of sustainable food systems in Ghana.
