The Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) is inviting qualified consultants to apply for a short-term consultancy assignment focused on building the capacity of its Ghanaian partner organizations in Results-Based Management (RBM).
The assignment aims to help five partner NGOs strengthen their understanding and use of Logic Models, Theories of Change (ToC), and results-based reporting. The consultancy will be guided by VVF’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework, ensuring that all outcomes align with the Foundation’s broader learning and accountability systems.
Objective of the Assignment
The main goal is to enhance the capacity of VVF’s partners to plan, monitor, and report on programs using a results-based approach.
Specific objectives include:

Assessing existing monitoring and evaluation tools and identifying areas for improvement.

Training partners to develop and apply logic models that clearly link inputs, activities, and outcomes.

Supporting partners to design SMART indicators and apply Theory of Change frameworks.
-
Strengthening skills in results-based reporting and adaptive learning.

Providing personalized mentorship to help integrate RBM tools into ongoing projects.
Scope of Work
The consultancy will be implemented in four main phases:
Phase 1: Inception and Planning

Review relevant program and grant documents.

Develop an inception report detailing the methodology, work plan, and training agenda.
Phase 2: Capacity Building Workshop

Conduct a 3-day in-person training workshop for five (5) partner organizations.

The assignment will last for three months from the date of contract signing.
Consultant Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:

A Master’s degree in Development Studies, M&E, Project Management, or a related field.

At least 7 years of experience in Results-Based Management (RBM), M&E, and organizational capacity building.

Proven experience leading workshops on Logic Models, Theory of Change, and indicator development.
-
Strong facilitation, communication, and coaching skills, especially with NGOs and community-based organizations.
-
Excellent English writing and analytical skills.
-
Familiarity with Ghana’s NGO and community development landscape is an asset.
Supervision and Reporting
The selected consultant will report directly to the Regional Director – West Africa, Vibrant Village Foundation, and coordinate with the VVF Ghana team and participating partner organizations.
The consultancy will be based in Ghana, primarily in Tamale and Walewale, with the group training held in-person and follow-up sessions conducted virtually or in person.
Payment Terms
Payments will be made upon satisfactory completion of deliverables as follows:

20% upon contract signing.
-
40% after the completion of training and submission of inception and training reports.

40% upon approval of the final report.
