Available Positions:

1. Director of Finance – Korle Bu Teaching Hospital

Job Summary:
The Director of Finance will oversee the financial operations of KBTH, including resource mobilization, budgeting, financial reporting, and policy implementation to ensure efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial policies and internal control systems.

  • Lead budget preparation and financial reporting.

  • Review and strengthen revenue generation and cost-saving strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with Financial Administration Regulations (FAA/FAR).

  • Support sub-BMCs with financial responsibilities and performance monitoring.

  • Provide financial insight for decision-making and procurement plans.

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Finance/Accounting and a professional certification (CIMA/ICA/ACCA/CPA).

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in accounting with 8+ years post-qualification as a Chartered Accountant.

  • Experience in hospital financial management, project financing, and quality assurance.

  • Advanced computer literacy and supervisory expertise.


2. Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services – Korle Bu Teaching Hospital

Job Summary:
The Director will provide leadership and technical direction for nursing and midwifery staff, ensuring high standards, effective policies, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on nursing/midwifery matters and quality assurance.

  • Develop and monitor nursing policies, protocols, and performance indicators.

  • Coordinate training and development of nursing staff.

  • Oversee strategic planning, research, and inter-agency collaboration.

  • Manage performance review, budgeting, and staff capacity building.

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Registered General Nurse or Midwife with postgraduate qualifications.

  • Varied experience pathways accepted:

    • At least 3 years at Deputy Director or Chief Nursing Officer level, or

    • 8–15+ years in nursing leadership roles depending on qualification.

  • Must be in good standing with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.

  • Strong management, research, and multi-disciplinary team experience required.


General Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be serving officers from KBTH or sister agencies under the Ministry of Health.

  • Must be below the age of 56 by September 2025.

  • Appointments are for a fixed 4-year term, renewable based on performance.
